Montana Rural Breastfeeding Support Initiative
for Critical Access Hospital Partners
The MT NAPA program, in partnership with the Montana Hospital Association, is pleased to announce 3 rural breastfeeding support initiatives:
1. CAH Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) Training Scholarships
2. Train the Trainer - 4 hour Breastfeeding Training
3. Host A Certified Lactation Training at your CAH Facility

Initiative I: Certified Lactation Counselor Scholarship(CLC)
With the goal of increasing trained lactation staff at Montana Critical Access Hospitals, the MT NAPA program will provide scholarships ($825) to cover registration, exam & text costs to complete the 40- hour ONLINE CLC Certification Deadline to apply: February 5th, 2021.
(Limited to MT Critical Access Hospital staff that work directly with newborn infants mothers).

Initiative 2: 'Train the Trainer' Breastfeeding Training (Free)
With the goal of increasing breastfeeding education support opportunities with our rural communities the Montana NAPA program will provide a free 4 hour (5 hr with lunch) basic breastfeeding education training for facility/community healthcare workers. (Hospitals provide conference room and projector/screen).
Application to bring the free 4-hour breastfeeding to your facility HERE.

The Montana NAPA Program will work directly with your facility & Healthy Children Center for Breastfeeding (training hosts) to organize & promote a CLC training at your site.
Your facility will receive 2-3 free registrations for your staff if selected as a host site.
Host facility must be able to provide a conference room with projector for over 30 people.
Due to COVID-19. In-person trainings on hold until Fall, 2021.
