The  Montana Rural Breastfeeding Support Initiative, in partnership with the Montana Hospital Association (MHA), provides three  no cost lactation training opportunities for MT Critical Access Hospitals to support breastfeeding in rural communities.

Certified Lactation Counselor Scholarship (CLC) To support trained lactation staff at Montana Critical Access Hospitals, MT NAPA & MHA offer scholarships ($825 to cover registration, exam & text) to complete the 40- hour virtual CLC Certification:  Spring Application Information HERE.

Train the Trainer - Breastfeeding Basics Provider Training
To increase perinatal  breastfeeding education support opportunities with MT rural communities. A  NO-COST,  4- hour Basic Breastfeeding Education training is available for CAH facility/community healthcare workers. In person & virtual Training option available  Currently scheduling trainings for Fall, 2022. Application to bring the free 4-hour breastfeeding to your facility. More Information HERE.

Host a Certified Lactation Training at a Critical Access Hospital
The MT NAPA Program will work directly with your CAH  facility & Healthy Children Center for Breastfeeding to host & promote a CLC training at your hospital. Host facility will receive 2-3 free registrations if selected.  CAH  must  provide a conference room (35 seats) with projector.  More information  HERE.
